Burges Series
This series grew out of a study and appreciation of the work of William Burges (1837-1881), an influential English Architect and designer responsible for inspiring works in all mediums.
In 2014 I traveled and researched at Oxford, Bedford and the Victoria and Albert archives in search of original work. Burges’ command of the classical language and his virtuosity with eclecticism is unmatched. The hand-drawn boxes and cabinets are for the love of using a pencil and a nod to the work of Piero Fornasetti, whose work I also admire.
